Hey, I’m Morgan Applegarth – a user experience professional who sometimes flirts with illustration.
Since early 2013, I’ve worked for one of the UK’s biggest online job boards – not to find jobs for people, but to oversee all UX aspects of the site and mobile app.
Before that, I worked for a leading inner-city music festival and a Welsh music magazine. And, before that, I graduated from the world famous School of Journalism, Cardiff University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. While there, I became a two-time award winning news editor for the university’s student newspaper.
I celebrate creativity in everything, carrying my childhood imagination into adulthood. When I was four years old I was in the local newspaper for winning a competition for which I painted the Hungry Caterpillar.
Aside from work, I’m an avid sports fan.
Football is a big part of my life, with my earliest memory being three years old, draped in a ‘Wright, 8′ Arsenal FC shirt and glancing down onto the slick green canvas at Highbury. In 2010 I spent nine weeks coaching ‘soccer’ throughout America’s beautiful New England. To keep fit and channel my competitive nature, I cycle, run and swim (both separately and together as triathlon).
I also can’t live without music, film and a good book.
Feel free to drop me a message if there’s something I could do for you.
I look forward to hearing from you.
